About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Screening in Niles, Ohio, you will serve and safeguard clients at an aerospace and defense location. You will help maintain a secure environment by screening personnel, visitors, and materials, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. A visible presence, professional communication, and customer-focused approach help deter incidents while supporting daily operations. This is a part-time role scheduled Monday and Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, paying $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, deliveries, and/or vehicles according to site access-control procedures.
• Inspect credentials, packages, and personal belongings using designated screening equipment and established protocols.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts as needed.
• Maintain accurate screening logs and report unusual activity, prohibited items, or access-control concerns according to site procedures.
