Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge and credential checks, and other security-related policies for a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, help to deter unauthorized access, and document arrivals, departures, deliveries, and/or visitor activity in accordance with post orders and site expectations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including exterior areas, gates, trailer yards, docks, and perimeter access points, while observing for unusual activity and reporting concerns promptly.
  • Support day-to-day operational flow by assisting with vehicle and pedestrian access, providing directions, and helping maintain orderly movement at screening points, lobbies, gates, and/or shipping and receiving areas.
