As a Security Officer Access Screening Coordinator in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. This is a part-time position where flexibility meets opportunity, allowing you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform. In this role, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support badge access processes at a professional location, helping to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence, strong communication, and attentive service. Requirements

  • Possess 1 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a county location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Assist with visitor processing, employee and contractor sign-in procedures, and communication with site contacts regarding access-related questions and/or issues.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting maintenance, security-related, and/or policy concerns.
