As a Security Officer Access Screening in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify access, and support daily operations through visible presence, routine patrols, and strong communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor access points and help control entry and exit activity by verifying identification, credentials, and/or delivery documentation before permitting access to authorized areas.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Maintain visitor, contractor, and/or vehicle access records, issue badges or credentials as directed, and report discrepancies, damaged barriers, and/or unauthorized access attempts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for security-related concerns, access control issues, and/or conditions that could impact daily operations.
