Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help support smooth site operations. Requirements

  • Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, manage visitor and contractor access, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related events and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter points, while observing for unusual activity and security-related concerns.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by monitoring truck arrivals and departures, maintaining access records, and following post procedures related to deliveries, pickups, and driver check-in activity.
