About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Screening in Summerville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials for employees, visitors, vendors, and/or drivers, and following post orders for an automotive location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, manage visitor logs and badge activity, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or access discrepancies to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and supporting site emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including parking areas, gate positions, shipping and receiving areas, and perimeter access points, with attention to security-related concerns.
  • Support daily traffic flow at gates and restricted areas by checking authorization for vehicles, deliveries, and/or contractors while helping to deter unauthorized access and disruptions to site operations.
