About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Screening in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Customer service experience is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor processing, and/or credential verification at a tech-focused location.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, offices, and/or project spaces.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and/or delivery records, issue temporary credentials as directed, and report access-related concerns according to post orders and site policies.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for security-related concerns, access control issues, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
