About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Screening in Palm City, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a residential location, where you will monitor entry points, verify access permissions, and support a welcoming environment for residents and guests. You will remain visible, conduct routine activity checks, and provide clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card or license is required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points at a residential location, verify credentials and/or authorization, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with post procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues to property management and/or public emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the community, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance-related concerns.
  • Communicate clearly with residents, guests, property staff, and/or supervisors regarding security-related matters, access requests, and post activity logs.
