About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Screening in Texas City, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

A TSA issued TWIC is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen visitors and deliveries, and document access activity in accordance with site protocols for a chemical and petrochemical location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, restricted areas, and perimeter, remaining aware of unusual activity, equipment concerns, and/or policy violations.
Support security-related operations by maintaining accurate logs, preparing incident reports, and helping to deter unauthorized access to controlled areas.
