Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, associates, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, verifying credentials, managing entry and exit activity, and following site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points, screening areas, gates, and visitor check-in processes to help support authorized entry to the location while documenting unusual activity and reporting concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate communication and escalation practices related to security-related matters.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, and production-related access points, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Support vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow at entry locations by providing directions, maintaining post logs, and assisting with deliveries, visitor processing, and other access-related responsibilities.
