As a Security Officer Access Reception Specialist in Jersey City, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a premier financial institution location as a Front Desk Officer, where you will help manage access control, greet visitors, support badge processes, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following site-specific procedures and front desk protocols at a financial services location.
  • Monitor access to the lobby and reception area, verify credentials and visitor information, and help to deter unauthorized entry through attentive front desk presence.
  • Answer questions, direct guests to the appropriate destination, and support sign-in processes, badge distribution, and other security-related documentation requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Observe activity at the front desk and surrounding entry points, report unusual behavior or maintenance concerns, and document security-related events in required logs and reports.
