As a Security Officer Patrol Access Specialist in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage incidents. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location serving the public.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry, provide directions to visitors, residents, staff, and/or vendors, and report suspicious behavior or unauthorized access attempts.
  • Support a professional environment by interacting respectfully with individuals on site, following post orders, and escalating security-related concerns to supervisors and/or appropriate personnel.
