As a Security Officer Access Monitor in Point Comfort, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location as an Access Control Officer, helping manage site entry, monitor assigned areas, and conduct routine patrols that help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor screening, credential checks, and/or entry documentation for employees, contractors, and approved guests.
  • Monitor entry and exit points at the location, verify authorization for personnel and vehicles, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted and security-related areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, checkpoints, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity, equipment concerns, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
  • Prepare clear reports on daily activities, access exceptions, and incident-related events, and follow site policies for handling keys, badges, and other controlled access items.
