As a Security Officer Access Monitor in Bolingbrook, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming atmosphere. In this role, you will remain visible, assist with security-related concerns, and provide strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, badges, and visitor logs to help support authorized access, verify credentials, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site personnel and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including warehouse areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and perimeter points, as assigned.
  • Support truck entry and exit processes by checking required information, directing drivers to appropriate areas, and helping maintain orderly access flow during active operating hours.
