About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Intake in Deptford, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the retail location.
• Monitor entrances and exits, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, stock areas, exterior walkways, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
• Support staff and guests by communicating clearly, assisting with visitor direction, and reporting policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or customer service issues to site leadership.
