As a Security Officer - Intake Screening in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology location, you will help monitor entry activity, screen visitors and team members, and support access control processes while providing exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries entering the location, verifying credentials and following post instructions for restricted or sensitive areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and/or screening points to help to deter unauthorized access, support orderly movement throughout the location, and assist with visitor direction.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, noting security-related issues, equipment concerns, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
