As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Front Desk Officer at a busy commercial location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badging, monitor activity from a central post, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor lobby and reception area activity, manage visitor access procedures, and help to address security-related concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Answer phones, greet guests, verify credentials, and maintain logs, reports, and other required documentation for the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when needed.
