Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following site-specific procedures and front desk protocols at a commercial real estate location.
  • Monitor access to the building lobby and reception area, verify visitor information, issue access credentials when appropriate, and help to deter unauthorized entry through security-related screening procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with property management and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Answer phones, greet guests, maintain front desk activity logs, and report maintenance, access, and/or security-related issues according to site procedures.
  • Observe lobby and entrance activity from the front desk, support emergency response activities when appropriate, and document unusual events in a timely manner.
