About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Credential Validation in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government airport location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, and control entry to restricted areas in accordance with established procedures.
  • Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Document visitor activity, access-control events, and irregularities in required logs and reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
