As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing entry points, verifying badges and credentials, monitoring access activity, and communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and drivers. You will use computer or tablet systems to document security-related information, remain visible to help deter incidents, and deliver outstanding service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery-related authorizations, maintain visitor and driver logs, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report irregular conditions.
  • Complete required reports and shift documentation, communicate relevant information to incoming personnel, and follow Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
