About The Position

As a Security Officer Access in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a premier financial institution location, you will help manage entry points, monitor visitor activity, and support daily security-related operations with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures, visitor management protocols, and security-related policies at a financial services location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or identification, maintain visitor logs, and report unusual activity or access concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate emergency response activities and documented escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the lobby, office areas, and perimeter, with attention to access control points, restricted areas, and other security-related concerns.
  • Support daily operations by communicating clearly with staff and visitors, documenting incidents and/or observations, and helping to deter unauthorized access and policy violations.
