Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access procedures, visitor processing, and/or badge verification at designated entry points.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access, support approved entry, and/or document arrivals, departures, and deliveries in accordance with location policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and perimeter, observing for security-related concerns, unsecured doors, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
  • Support security-related operations by checking credentials, maintaining accurate activity logs, assisting with access requests, and/or following post orders for sensitive or limited-access areas.
