In this role, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and provide a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service and communication while working with a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and always acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to control access for employees, contractors, guests, and deliveries at the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or public emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, sales floor areas, production spaces, parking areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Document visitor activity, incidents, and unusual conditions, and help to support security-related operations through clear reporting and attention to site procedures.
