About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control in Ladson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a leading automotive location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, support badge access, and provide exceptional customer service. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, and help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at an automotive manufacturing and/or corporate location while carrying out site-specific procedures and access-control policies.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related records.
  • Control vehicle and pedestrian access to designated areas, inspect incoming and outgoing traffic as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
