As a Security Officer Access Control in Franklin, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
  • Screen and direct delivery drivers, vendors, and visitors to appropriate loading, receiving, or administrative areas in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
