About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control in Salisbury, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in retail and other industries. At a retail location, you will help maintain a welcoming, orderly environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, and assisting visitors, associates, and vendors. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, report security-related concerns, and help deter incidents through attentive presence and responsive service.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations, potentially before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to store associates, delivery personnel, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor and control access to the retail location, verify authorization for employees, vendors, and deliveries, and maintain accurate visitor and access logs.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, receiving areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report security-related concerns.
Follow Allied Universal and site-specific procedures for key control, package and delivery access, and documentation of daily activities.
