About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control in Salina, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor assigned areas, and support a professional, welcoming experience. In this role, you will help promote a secure environment through strong communication, attention to detail, and a team-focused approach grounded in integrity, reliability, and innovation.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and/or dock areas, verify identification and credentials, and document visitor, vendor, and driver activity according to site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, perimeter, parking areas, and shipping and receiving zones to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unusual activity.
  • Support inbound and outbound traffic control by observing deliveries, employee movement, and/or vehicle access while following post orders and site-specific instructions.
