Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Type at a minimum of 40 words per minute.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel at a technology data center by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor access control points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor and contractor entry processes, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entry points, perimeter locations, and critical infrastructure areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Operate access control and related monitoring systems in accordance with site procedures, report equipment issues, and document incidents and shift activities thoroughly.
