About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Cordova, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage entry activity, monitor assigned areas, and support security-related operations through clear communication and strong attention to detail. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and delivery documentation, and help to manage the entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and authorized vehicles.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, shipping and receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Support shipping and distribution operations by helping to maintain orderly traffic flow at gates and docks, following post orders, and communicating clearly with drivers, employees, and site representatives.
