About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Fremont, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Security Officer supporting an automotive location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will assist employees, visitors, and guests with professionalism while documenting security-related activity and communicating concerns. Requirements

  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at an automotive manufacturing location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site policies.
  • Complete accurate reports, logs, and incident documentation while communicating relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
