As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Royal Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, manage entry points, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and routine patrols. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
Guard card is required.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control duties, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and other security-related activity.
Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
Communicate with staff, residents, visitors, and/or vendors regarding access procedures, directions, and site rules while supporting daily operations.
