About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in High Point, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, credential verification practices, and emergency response activities appropriate for the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorization, document visitor activity, and report unusual or unauthorized access attempts in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with professionalism, communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed, and complete accurate security-related reports.
  • Support security-related operations within a chemical and petrochemical location by observing for unusual conditions, following post orders, and helping to deter unauthorized activity around restricted areas.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, which may include checking gates, barriers, and access points, as working environments and conditions vary by location.
