About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Polk City, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to utility facility personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry and exit, and directing authorized individuals according to site policies.
Help to deter unauthorized access by observing access-control systems, reporting unusual activity or credential concerns, and following established escalation procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility areas, and perimeter locations, reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues.
