Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, support visitor and vehicle access, and conduct routine patrols of assigned areas. You will remain visible to help reduce security-related concerns while delivering strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, vendors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, managing entry and exit activity, and supporting security-related protocols at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor gates, entrances, badge activity, deliveries, and/or visitor logs to help control authorized access, document routine and unusual activity, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with emergency response activities, directing individuals according to post instructions, and communicating with appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, access points, trailer yards, loading and unloading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and support security-related policies.
