Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A guard card is required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a resort location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas in a calm, professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations with sound judgment, clear communication, and a problem-solving approach.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property, lobbies, amenities, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location.
  • Document security-related activities, access-related incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
