About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Monitor in Winston Salem, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following site-specific procedures for access control at an industrial location, including verifying credentials, screening visitors, and monitoring entry and exit activity.
• Support security-related operations by controlling access points for employees, contractors, vendors, and deliveries, while maintaining accurate logs, badges, keys, and/or visitor records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around production areas, warehouses, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working conditions that may vary by location.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and security-related concerns by observing site activity, reporting unusual behavior and/or hazards, and following established post orders and response procedures.
