About The Position
As a Security Officer Access Check Driver in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support daily site operations through visible, professional presence and strong communication. Requirements
- A TSA issued TWIC is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Monitor access control points by verifying credentials, processing visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries, and documenting entry and exit activity in accordance with site protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of communication.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or policy violations.
- Complete required reports, logs, and/or pass-down communications regarding incidents, access activity, and noteworthy observations during each shift.
