As a Security Officer Access Authorization Driver in Bridgeport, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor activity, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service while helping to deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following established escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access control systems, alarms, and cameras as assigned, document observations, and report equipment issues or unusual activity to site leadership.
