About The Position

The Unit Security Support person will support the government in the day-to-day implementation of security policy and procedures for 3 units in the Colorado Springs, Colorado area. As required by our governmental client, this position requires an active TS/SCI clearance to be considered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5-7 Years’ Experience in a Security Support role.
  • The National Industrial Security Program (NISP) shall be managed in accordance with DoD Manual 5220.32 National Industrial Security Program: Industrial Security Procedures for Government Activities Volume 1.
  • Adhere to Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 16-14, Security Enterprise Governance, to achieve required protection, planning and programming needs for MD6.
  • Candidates must be US Citizens.
  • Candidates must hold an active TS SCI clearance.
  • Candidates will be subject to a US Federal Government background investigation and must favorably pass a drug screen.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and judgment skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, TEAMs, Outlook).
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.

Responsibilities

  • Support the supervision of daily security activities and enforce company and government security policies for 3 units in the Colorado Springs, Colorado area.
  • Perform access control responsibilities, including managing badges, access cards, and controlled spaces at Space Base Delta 41.
  • Support the government in certifying and receiving SCI visitor clearances/accesses.
  • Help the government manage MD6’s National Industrial Security Program (NISP).
  • Help the government in performing duties as an assistant security manager for MD6.
  • Support the government in managing the Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO) including tracking training status of all MD6 personnel.
  • Help the government maintain the facility clearance in accordance with Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency requirements.
  • Help the government implement procedures for handling proprietary, business confidential, and government classified information.
  • Assist the government in processing requests for granted personnel security clearances; review and submit documents as required.
  • Assist the government in managing security classification guides, safeguarding personnel information, resources technologies, facilities, and assets against harm, loss, or hostile acts and influences.
  • Must be able to work full time on-site.
