About The Position

Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia is seeking a Security Loss Prevention Officer to ensure the safety and security of hotel guests, associates, and property. Requirements

  • Ability to perform security rounds of all hotel areas.
  • Ability to respond immediately to emergency incidents and security requests.
  • Ability to enforce hotel policies and procedures.
  • Ability to submit written reports on shift activities.
  • Ability to check associates entering and leaving the hotel.
  • Ability to monitor the security of the receiving dock.
  • Ability to check hotel staff IDs and provide information.
  • Ability to perform necessary clerical requirements of the Security Department.
  • Ability to protect the hotel from undesirables.

Responsibilities

  • Perform security rounds of all hotel areas, including restaurants, lobby, garage, convention center, guest floors, executive offices, and back-of-house areas.
  • Visit all locations requiring special attention as frequently as required.
  • Respond immediately to emergency incidents and security requests.
  • Ensure maximum guest, associate, and hotel safety and security at all times.
  • Enforce hotel policies and procedures courteously, tactfully, and firmly.
  • Submit written reports on all activities during each shift and deliver oral reports and emergency notifications as per established procedures.
  • Perform duties as assigned by the Director of Security, Assistant Director of Security, or Security Supervisor, and respond to directions from any Executive Committee member or Assistant Manager.
  • Maintain the highest standards of security through professional attitude, appearance, and application.
  • Check associates entering and leaving the hotel, collecting package passes and inspecting parcels.
  • Monitor the security of the receiving dock.
  • Confiscate unauthorized parcels and notify the Director of Security and appropriate department head.
  • Check hotel staff IDs and provide information/direction to job applicants, salesmen, etc., notifying department heads for permission for non-staff personnel entry.
  • Do not leave assigned station unless properly relieved.
  • Perform clerical duties for the Security Department, including filing, processing work orders, ordering supplies, maintaining schedules, and posting bulletin board information.
  • Protect the hotel from undesirables and individuals not conducting legitimate business on the premises.
