About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Lobby Receptionist for a biotech company in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday from 2 PM to 10 PM and pays $23.15 per hour. Paid orientation and paid training are provided. The position serves and safeguards clients by carrying out security procedures, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols. The stated role-specific qualifications include being at least 21 years old and having at least one year of previous security experience. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local laws; a valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years old for this role.
Have at least one year of previous security experience.
Meet the general minimum age requirement of at least 18 years for unarmed roles or 21 years for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have five years of verifiable experience.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment, if required.
Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
