About The Position

Assists in managing the Corporation’s security functions, including physical security and safety of employees, guests, facilities, and assets, report document system, employee badges, all key inventory and logs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Proficient in EXCEL, WORD, and computer skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively to employees, patrons, management, and directors.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to handle the stress of a security leadership position.
  • Continuously required to walk, stand, talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to bend, stoop, reach, twist and grip.
  • Occasionally required to react effectively to emergency situations.
  • Occasionally required to lift, carry, or push heavy objects including vehicles, and physically restrain offenders.
  • Specific vision abilities required in this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Law enforcement experience preferred.
  • State Certified Law Enforcement Officer (CLEET Certification I & II) preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain gaming license.

Responsibilities

  • Protects the lives, safety, and property of customers, employees, vendors, and the corporation.
  • Promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
  • Remains alert to potential losses by risk, theft, and/or destruction.
  • Patrols and assigns patrols over the physical facilities of the Corporation.
  • Assists in leading the work of security officers.
  • Escorts and removes unruly or unwanted customers, employees, and guests from the facilities.
  • Provides the corporation with detailed incident reports.
  • Reports on all safety hazards and risks to the Safety Manager or designer.
  • Maintains consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Performs other duties assigned by supervisor or administrator.
  • Helps keep report documentation up to date along with keeping reports typed and logged.
  • Assists in Key Inventory and documentation.
  • Performs duties of tracking employee badges and expiration dates.
  • Training all new and existing employees on policies and procedures as well as manager directives.
