About The Position

Enhances the Huntington Hospital environment of care as a member of the Security team. The K-9 Officer will provide a safe and secure environment for all persons on premises by working closely with their assigned shift, conducting K-9 patrols, responding to calls and documenting incidents. Performs all functions of a patrol Security officer. Investigates and makes recommendations for safety enhancements for the hospital campus and staff. Maintains health and welfare of K-9 dog, on a 24 x 7 basis. This position will require flexibility of hours.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years experience in security, law enforcement or military required
Current California (CA) driver’s license
Must be insurable under Huntington's liability insurance
Current CA Guard Card with Baton Permit
Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

Experience in hospital security and/or K-9 operations are preferred
Basic K-9 Handler Agitator Course preferred
