The role also includes assisting during EMS offloads and high-risk clinical scenarios, supporting general public safety operations, maintaining canine-related equipment and vehicles, and liaising with law enforcement and first responder agencies. Additionally, the position involves delivering security awareness education and coordinating prisoner patient guards. The role requires maintaining current training standards in radio communications, de-escalation, CPR, clinical restraints, and the use of conducted energy weapons (Taser), as well as any other department-issued equipment.
