About The Position

Stratolaunch develops next-generation aerospace and defense technologies through reusable hypersonic flight testing. Its autonomous, air-launched Talon-A vehicles provide operationally realistic flight environments at speeds exceeding Mach 5, helping customers validate system performance and advance technologies toward deployment.

The Security Intern will work in the Security Department and support the security team in maintaining compliance with government regulations, completing security-related administrative tasks, and promoting safe and secure testing of Stratolaunch operational vehicles. The intern will also perform other security tasks as directed by the Facility Security Officer. This position is located in Mojave, California, and pays $20.00 per hour. The position follows a 9/80 schedule.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret clearance.
• Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Business Management, Criminal Justice, or another security-relevant program.
• Sophomore, junior, or senior working toward a security-relevant degree and planning to attend graduate school.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of physical and operational security basics.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Facility Security Officer with maintaining compliance with government regulations, including 32 CFR 117 (NISPOM).
• Assist with badging, escorting vendors, processing incoming and outgoing visits, and new employee onboarding.
• Assist with tracking, auditing, and dispatching classified documents, mail packages, and contract inventory.
• Assist with preparing security awareness training, briefings, and compliance assessments.
• Maintain calendars, schedule meetings for classified and unclassified conference rooms, and update security documentation.
• Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity, and fulfillment of commitments.
• Perform other security tasks deemed necessary by the Facility Security Officer.
