About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location in West Columbia, South Carolina, you will help safeguard the site and provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access as directed, and respond to security concerns. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and pays $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements required by state or local laws and regulations prior to employment, where applicable.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and remain aware of visitor and contractor activity.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol observations, incidents, and security-related activities in accordance with company and site requirements.
