About The Position

ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, operates in over 50 locations across the US, providing vehicle services such as repair, reconditioning, and auction remarketing. Our auto auctions handle a vast inventory of vehicles. We foster a collaborative 'we' versus 'I' culture, working in a fun, fast-paced, and competitive industry. ADESA is undergoing a multi-year expansion with significant investments in facilities, sales growth, and inventory. We are seeking motivated individuals to join us on this journey. This role, reporting to the Inspections or Operations Manager, is responsible for executing facility processes to ensure the safety of team members, customers, and assets. As the face of ADESA at our gates, you will play a key role in enforcing Inventory Control procedures, utilizing ADESA technology, and supporting vehicle location research. This is an hourly position that may involve various shifts and weekends.

Requirements

1-2 years of experience within a customer service environment
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Ability to relate well with others and establish strong working relationships
Ability to handle conflict situations in a positive way
Ability to accurately enter data on a handheld device or computer
Strong customer service skills
Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
High School diploma or GED preferred
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Requires computer data entry skills
Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance
Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements
Able to safely drive a variety of make/model/sizes of vehicles
Requires standing for extended periods
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.

Responsibilities

Secure all gates and buildings and patrol the premises.
Sound alarms and notify authorities in case of emergency.
Verify only authorized individuals enter the property.
Provide facility directions to customers, vendors, and transporters.
Check gate passes to ensure vehicles are authorized to exit property.
Check departing vehicles to guard against theft of company property.
Greet customers at the gate and provide prompt and courteous service.
Resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
De-escalate difficult situations to ensure positive partner interactions and collaboration.
Watch and report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and doors left unsecured.
Account for and identify all keys, codes, or other safety and security information.
Maintain a current list of emergency and management telephone numbers.
Maintain good operating condition of all equipment and facilities, including handheld devices and printers.
Notify management of all breakdowns and maintenance needs.
Maintain a professional appearance and orderly work environment.
Practice and promote teamwork continuously.
Set a good personal example of attitude and performance.
Maintain good communication with all auction team members and leaders.
Perform any other duties assigned by the designated manager.
