As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Driver in NEW YORK, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public areas, offices, entrances, exits, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, directing individuals to appropriate service areas when needed.
  • Document incidents, patrols, and unusual conditions accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
