About The Position

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 with a mandate to provide meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well-being of Canadians, primarily in security guard and related services. CGL serves Central and Southwestern Ontario, offering customized security solutions including uniformed guards, mobile response, by-law enforcement, and identification services. This posting is for an existing vacancy for a Commissionaire to join their growing team. The role requires a commitment to serving client and employee needs to enhance organizational success.

Requirements

• MUST Ontario Security Guard License
• MUST Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
• MUST be able to obtain Secret Security Clearance (resident in Canada 10 years or longer, clean record, clean credit history)
• Ability to stand/sit/walk for long periods of time
• Ability to complete frequent patrols
• Ability to speak/read/communicate in English (fluently)
• Able to multi-task and work well with little to no supervision
• Excellent customer service and reception skills
• Highly reliable
• Work well under pressure
• Professional who takes pride in your dress, deportment and performance at all times

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak French is consider an asset

Responsibilities

• Conduct patrols in military barracks checking for any maintenance issues
• Assist with In and Out processing of military members
• Act as Fire Warden
• Ensure all rooms are "move in" ready
• Complete "March Out" and other site paperwork as directed
• Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and deportment
• Other duties as required by the client
