Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, security-related policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document events according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, entrances, common spaces, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed, and assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit procedures.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance or security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
